With Helix finishing up its second season this week I'm fortunate that Salem is back to fill the role of questionable choice in viewing. Salem doesn't have the same kind of batshit crazy as Helix, but then Helix doesn't have anyone feeding their familiar from their thigh nipple either.
Well, well, well. It looks like the feds (specifically, a DEA Agent and a Secret Service Agent) were engaged in stealing from Silk Road.
I missed this whenever it was announced before. Lucy Lawless will be in the new season of Salem that starts next month. And surprise, surprise she's playing a witch.
A while back, io9 was doing a fantastic "Spy Week" with great features on spies, real and fictional. Great stuff all around but sadly, to me, missing a key entry. A show that not only stood as a great mix of sci-fi, fantasy, western and spy but in many ways helped create what we now call "Steampunk."
There are several porn stars atop and voice actors mixed into this user-generated, descending-order IMDB list of those with more than 300 acting credits. What prompted me to look was when Giancarlo Esposito popped-up on Allegiance and I wondered how his 155 compared to Rene Auberjonois (208) and Edie McClurg (197).
I'm not particularly up to speed on Disney movies beyond general pop culture knowledge. For example I had no idea that song in the Avengers 2 trailer was from Pinocchio. So I can watch Once Upon A Time as a cheesy guilty pleasure. Spoilers for last night's episode ahead.
An interview with The 100 EP Jason Rothberg was clipped on the Morning Spoilers before part two of the season finale: "Remember how you felt at the end of Season 1, when you first saw Clarke wake up in that "mysterious white room" and had no idea what was coming next? That's pretty much how you're going to feel…
The first season was different and dark enough to be interesting. The second was kind of meh. While the third has become "who gives a shit", "they should have quit when they were ahead".
I know it's not on till tomorrow, and it's almost the season finale, but I was thinking about it today. Parts of it are awesome, and parts of it are severely lacking. What have you loved/loathed? (Spoilers & gifs) Here's mine:
Tonight's episode of Parks & Recreation reminded me in many ways of one of my favorite episodes of Battlestar Galactica. They have the same bones. I am so HAPPY!!! Allow me to explain... (spoilers for both ahead)
The current crop of pilots for Amazon original series is up and includes the pilot for a series based on Philip K. Dick's The Man in the High Castle. It's been a while since I read the book so I watched this and judged it on its own merits as opposed to how closely it followed the book.
Marvel's Agent Carter is back with a surprisingly diverse set of emotional punches and more of the most obscure Marvel characters ever. Let's see just how far into the back issue bins the show dug for some comic book references!
Agent Carter is here and damn if she doesn't hit the ground running (in pumps no less). It's all style and substance - and a helluvalotta Marvel references to boot! Let's unpack the first SSR case file and see how SHIELD's prequel miniseries ties to She-Hulk, Iron Man and the rest of the Marvel U!
Starting with two episodes on March 17th, then one each Tuesday for the next eleven, Community comes to Yahoo!.
DC's Capitol File published a fashion shoot and interview with Megan Boone of NBC's The Blacklist. When asked what's coming up, she gave a short, interesting reply.
It had passed my notice until just now, but thanks to the handiness of a Hulu queue, I just learned that Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate: Universe and the original, Stargate: SG-1 are back streaming on Hulu. It appears all of the episodes are available with HuluPlus (paid), while there are only a few of each streaming…
Season 4 (spoilers)
Again. Because SOMEbody pointed out to me that when it started, Bellamy was the show's Logan Echolls. I had just assumed he was a Sawyer variation. If he's a Logan Echolls, then he could be a Damon Salvatore, right?
If you've been watching Haven on a 30-day delay, you may be interested to know that they've unlocked the rest of the season for free streaming on Hulu. (It could be by mistake because they're still locked on SyFy) I just marathoned 10-13 (5-13 are available) and now I'm off to read @Ghost in the Machine's recaps.
